SLJ Activity 1

Today we looked at the SLJ blog and we got told to colour in a only picture of the options that there were I coloured in about 3 drawings, we are having a competition of who's drawing is the best the one i'm choosing to submit this one because it was one of the best ones I made, it was pretty easy to colour in I thought it would've been harder since it was online but it was pretty easy to work with and much easier than colouring in with pencils.

Persuasive Texts

 Hi

This week we have been learning how to write persuasive texts, our teacher gave us topics for us to write about I chose one about animals, it isn't really good but I tried it took a long time though but it was pretty fun because I had to think a lot about it

I strongly believe that animals shouldn't be kept in a zoo. Animals need natural habitat, family and to be able to fend for themselves.

Firstly, animals are taken from their natural habitat to be put in a cage until their last days, people shouldn't pay to see an animal being treated badly.

Additionally, they should not get stolen from their parents at any stage of their life, they are born in the wild  with their family, they shouldn't steal them form their family.

Finally, when in a zoo animals can't fend for themselves, as in the wild when they're young they learn from their mothers.

In conclusion animals shouldn't be kept in a zoo, because they are not in their habitat, and are taken from their family, and they're not able to fend for themselves.

Drama - Tableu

Hello (^○^)in Drama yesterday we were learning about Tableu (Freeze frames) we went outside to make some freeze frames, we made a village, a sunrise and that's about it, inside we started making this blog post but now we are finishing it as a class, the games we did were pretty easy some needed more than one person it was fun doing some teamwork so it could work, the fun thing about freeze frames is that you can be wild with the shapes you make with your body and be creative of what you're gonna create.

Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Mascot - Someity

 Hello dear readers (◠﹏◠✿)

I have finished my work about Someity the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Mascot, it was pretty easy and fast to get done here's the information about Someity.

Here's the questions

Paralympic Sports Research

 Hello (◡‿◡✿)

This was one of my favourite activities from the slide task that we have to compete because it wasn't one of those activities that is very easy and quick to get done which was fun, but this also made me learn some new facts about these sports I saw playing in the Paralympics which was Goalball and Para-Archery, but there were also some other cool ones I saw but these caught my attention the most they are very interesting sports, I hope you have learnt something from my post, but today is also the last day the Paralympics which is sad but just 3 years until France hosts The Olympics and The Paralympics in Paris which will be fun to look forward, but I'll be posting more tasks today because I'm trying to get everything done before tomorrow because the tasks will change because It'll be Monday. Here's my work I hope you like it

Have you ever heard of goalball?

Goalball

Goalball was first invented in 1946 for those who had lost their vision in the Second World War.

In goalball two teams of three players face each other across a court that is nine meters wide and 18 meters long. The object of the game is to roll a basketball size ball with bells inside over the opponent's goal line. Your opponents listen for the oncoming ball and attempt to block it with their bodies.

The special equipment that's used is a ball with bells inside so every player hears the ball coming, the marking in the floor also are a little bumpy so they know their way and where to stay to block the ball.

Interesting Facts

  1. The players always have to wear opaque eye shades always when playing
  2. They're legally blind which means having 10% vision (B3, B2, B1 - Totally blind
  3. Teams of three - 6 in the court
  4. Invented to help veterans of WW2 rehabilitate from losing sight

Para-Archery

Para-Archery was introduced in the first ever Paralympics Games in Rome in 1960 and has remained on the Paralympics ever since.

In Para-Archery, the target size and distance archers stand from the target differs based on the competition category. In individual events, archer shoot 72 arrows at the 10-circle target, divided into 12 ends of six arrows each. Each athlete is allowed 4 minutes per round.

They use the same equipment, but the difference is they might use they're mouth to pull the arrow, shoot sitting in a wheelchair, or have a accessory added like a shoulder harness or a tripod (for a visually impaired athlete).

Interesting Facts

  1. Para-Archery has been around since the first Paralympic Games in Rome.
  2. Para-Archery is available in both Compound and Recurve, which means an athlete is allowed to be standing or sitting, unlike Olympic Archery which you have to be standing.
  3.  The first Para-Archery competition for those with physical impairments was held for recovering veterans at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in England 1948
  4. Para-Archery was one of the original Paralympic Sports.

Paralympic Values

 Hi ≧◡≦

Today I started doing my Paralympic Values task which was really fun putting together the definition of the words and the example, it took me about 5 minutes to complete because it was pretty easy, so that's another task done, Here's my work

Google Map Activity

 Hi (^⌣^)

This is another Paralympic task I have finished and it was about flights from different parts of the world to japan and I had to find how long it took from place to place, how much it was, the distance between the countries, there was one where I had to find the stopovers but I found nothing for that in every country which was weird so I just put that I couldn't find anything, but overall it was a easy task and kinda of fun it just took a long time to find all the information, but here's my work

Paralympics Q&A

 Hello and welcome (◠‿◠✿)

Its been a little while since I've posted but here I am today I decided I had to get my work done otherwise I'd be in trouble, but our teacher set us up a task about the Paralympics I found it a little challenging because it was not written text it was videos we had to watch to answer and it was a bit annoying when I had to find what I wanted without having to watch it all over again and some of the questions were hard to understand but I tried to do them right but I'm not sure, but here's the questions

And here are the answers

Term 3 Week 3 - Numeracy

Hello ヅ

This is another Math work I found in my folders, I finished the quiz because I think that's what we were supposed to do, it was a pretty easy quiz it was about Numbers, Numerals and Digits here is my second attempt because the first one I got 7/10, it was still easy though it would be good if my teachers gave me something more complicated.
