Aim: To learn about bacteria and how they grow.
Equipment:
- Agar Dish
- Cotton Bud Swab
- Vivid Pen
- Tape
Method:
- Collect the bacteria on a cotton bud swab from taps, doorknobs, keyboards or desks.
- Divide the agar in half by drawing a line open the lid.
- Wipe the swab onto the agar solution.
- Put the petri dish into a incubator for 1 week to allow the bacteria to grow.
- Draw and label the bacteria.
- Draw and label a scientific diagram of the experiment.
- Tape the edges so your dish won't open.
