Term 3 Week 2 - Maths

Hello and welcome to my blog or welcome back, I hope you are all safe at home (ᵔᴥᵔ)

Today I found this doc that I hadn't fully completed so I finished it and it was really easy I remember not finishing it because the lesson had finished well now that we are in lockdown I had the chance to finish it well it was just math problems and we had to highlight the answer we thought was correct, it was pretty simple and easy.

Olympics Work

Hello people as I said in my last blog today there would be more blogs and here I am later today there might be one about coding and one about maths but I'm not sure.

Here is our task that we had to do I had to read this article about the Olympics and answer some questions about the text ,it was quite fun to answer the questions, I took a screenshot of the questions and I put it on a google drawing so I could do the work on the sheet, but the task about connect the lines confused me and there was no teacher to explain it to me, and now that I think about it I could have asked my parents but they would probably understand less than me, since English its not mine and my family's first language, but back to what I was saying and number 8 was also confusing because the words didn't really make sense to me but I think I might have gotten it correct, but this task was also fun and quite simple.

Has your school ever done anything about the Olympics?

Finish maths work from yesterday

Create DLO and blog it

I finished my number families which was quite easy actually, it had 12 tasks and I finished 4 yesterday and 8 today it was really fun, so basically you have triangles and inside you have 3 numbers inside it and with those numbers use use it for a math problem I had Times and Divided by

So here's an example

45    5     9  (I can't make a triangle on here)

5 x 9 = 45

9 x 5 = 45

45 ÷ 5 = 9

45 ÷ 9 = 5

So making them with the numbers you were given

Sorry if this is hard to understand I'm not great at explaining:)

Coding Hurumanu

This week our teacher found out that this term we are doing coding we are using this site called code.org we did a task called dance party it was really fun making the animals dance to the beat and different moves. Yesterday some people including me got to do the Minecraft challenge which is harder but it really wasn't that hard I finished it and I was really proud of myself for accomplishing something I not really good at.

At your school have you ever done coding (or done something using code.org)?

Arts Kete - Stone Carving

This week we started our Arts Kete my first choice was stone carving I thought I wouldn't get in it because so many people wanna do it but surprisingly I got in, we have this stone called Oamaru stone it's very easy to carve, we started to draw our Koru and take the edges away with a saw, that was the start of our Arts Kete. (Here's an example of what we're making)
