WW1 Letter

 In Hurumanu 1 we had to write a letter home after all we did in the war Mrs Hastie said we had to use our five senses in our letters home of how war was going i'm pretty impressed of how my letter turned out because it looked pretty real to me but I hope you like it :)

The Compass

 In Hurumanu 3 we are learning about directions and we are learning how to use a compass 

The first compass was made in China and it was made out of Lodestone

The one thing that stops a compass from reading correctly is power lines

The 3 jobs that need compasses are military, pilots and miners

3 sports that needs compasses hunting, hiking and sailing

Schools In WW1

 In Hurumanu 1 we are learning about WW1 and today we had to create a drawing in which showed what schools looked like in war times.  In war schools were still on but children usually had to Knit socks for soldiers in class and here is my google drawing of girls knitting in class but boys knitted too is just i don't know how to do boys in google drawings sorry :( but give me some tips in the comments of how I can learn to draw boys in google drawings : ) I had fun doing this activity Thanks Mrs Hastie

Women in WW1

 In war times women were as important as men they had to do all kinds of jobs being ladies jobs or rough men jobs but still ladies got paid less then men but they still did the same jobs. Nurses were very important in wars because the treated the sick people. But here is my poster :) Hope you like it comment down below what you think I missed about women in WW1 

How Polynesians Navigated across the sea

 This week in Hurumanu 3 we have been learning of ways the Polynesians travel the Pacific Ocean without any compasses or any maps only using nature resources we had to first write all the things from the board in a hamburger sheet that Mrs Hastie gave us and then we hat to put everything in a google doc to publish.
